Try no flash.. I'm guessing you already did.. Maybe not as much light..

Sounds like you are overexposing or your color balance is off. Could you post the image(s) that this is happening with?

Shooting pics in the bright sun is less then ideal. Try shooting the pics on a cloudy day or later in the day when the sun is lower. I think you will be happier with pictures then.

Taking pics in bright sun can hard. You could always add a bit of photoshop to them? I don't even try to pretend I know what I'm doing with photoshop so don't be too harsh on me....

Yep, Yellow Wagon got it right. Shooting in RAW (if available) always helps when it comes to tweaking these kind of shots.

WOW what a difference compared to Yellow Wagon's...!!!

The next time I want to sell a larg(er) ticket item I will just pay to have pictures taken professionally. I took the ones that were in the eBay auction for my Chevelle and was disgusted at how they turned out. On my own I figured out that direct sunlight and cameras DON'T mix, but of course after they were on eBay......

how do you reccomend doing that?

i have a point and shoot Kodak that was $150 but i'm gonna try using Liz's Canon Rebel.

Flip the camera over to manual/av and select RAW instead of JPG, but then you have to know how to get your lighting just right without over/under exposing AND know how to manipulate it in her software. It takes a bit of practice :)
