Corvette question

Someone told me to avoid the crossfire fuel system found of corvettes. What yearscame with them. Also, does it work on the same principle as speed density on a mustang, or is it a crappy system in itself?

What it is is a duel TBI setup i know they came on my Z28 in82 i don't know when the vette started but i think around there BTW i have a working crossfire intake in the garage with air cleaner!!!!

Crossfire injection on Camaros at least on Z's was a ram-air system I know this... Crossfire was availible 82-84... I know its pretty rare, thats all I know... Probably because it wasnt working that great... I guess since TBI is worthless in itselfs... 2 TBI's is twice as worthless... I dunno...

Yup i think these design plans were really destin to be at the bottom of lake michigan but how ever slipped through cracks and made it to production. Yeah it sure didnt take the place ofa cross ram intake setup like that used on 69' 302 Z28's and maxwedge Mopars. I think the single throttle body 88+ 350 GM trucks made more HP than this pig LOL:rolleyes:

Umm yea like i said i have one in my garage
i took it off my 82 Z28 cause it didn't ork well plus it was a 305 to begin with i replaced with a 400sb and kept the stock fiberglass ramair hood on it and used th ram air:rockwoot:

Crossfire was on 84' Vettes. No 83' Vettes of course and apparently 82's had crossfire as well which I was not aware of. 85' the Vettes went to TPI. And yes its pretty much junk ;).

*edited my post, I thought Crossfire was only on the 84' Vettes originally

I think the 82 vette did use the crossfire FI, IIRC.

well if a 82 Z had the CF on a 5.0 then the vette had it also but as a 5.7:thumbsup
