06 CTD at GLD last night (Vid)

my buddy lukes 06 cummins truck last night at the track. 7300lbs, ats trans, stock cp3, stock sticks, tst stack on bully dog, 62/71 turbo. 30psi launch, best time on fuel only was 12.9 @ 103 with a 1.7 60ft in 4wd. the guy in the other "Race" truck must was amazed LOL

this may be a dumb question, but how does the thing tow now? ive been eying up a ctd for a while so i can make my 02 an offroad rig, but i know if i got a ctd id want it to do that, and tow my twisties track car to the track

this may be a dumb question, but how does the thing tow now? ive been eying up a ctd for a while so i can make my 02 an offroad rig, but i know if i got a ctd id want it to do that, and tow my twisties track car to the track

all you have to do is turn the tst off and turn down or turn off the bully dog and it pulls like it does stock. the only problem he had towing (a 24ft enclosed) was that the turbo compresser surges from time to time. its a 62mm 71mm wheel with 14cm wastgate. that turbo is pretty much the stock unit but with a 6mm bigger wheel and 2cm larger wastegate.

LOL where do u work?? yea it says 5.9L dmax eater on the back window:rolf it went 12.7@105 with a 1.6 60ft on spray single tuned with just the bully dog tuner (13.5 on fuel) so wer hoping the new spray setup will get it into the lowlow 12s if not 11s. theres more fuel in there then before and have room to drop a minimum of 500deg in egts to get it into a safe 1300 instead of pushing 1800 at the end of the track.:durr

duramax ftmfw!!!!! kinda glad my brother didn't try to race that guy.....until he gets a tranny he can't beat a 12.9......god i can't wait to get a duramax.....all the recent diesel stuff i've seen lately just makes spring seem that much farther away....lol

i know one person that went 12.9 on fuel with a ppe/juice stack on a dirtysmack. it was running out of fuel at the rail.(same problem hes having) he'll be lucky to go any faster then that w/a single turbo and stock cp3. the mod cp3 is in the mail for the cummins, so track time again hopefully next week again :headbang

you can do alot with single turbo. cp3 pump will be coming for his d-max shortly too. the allison is an expensive build. my friend just had his done at kilpatricks. they did a nice job. but 6k doesn't come easy. not saying my brother would run in the 12's just saying your buddy does have a decent amount done to the truck. it is an excellent time. i'm just not a dodge fan, for other reasons.

the truck isnt just a street/drag truck either. this thing was just doing pulls last weekend. also won the Kenosha County truck pull in the morning. couldnt run blocks in the back which blows when you dont have overload springs like him.

there is barely anything done to the thing now.. a $$ trans is the only thing that seperates it from half the diesels on the road. i wish they would come out with a efi live for cummins!! this stacking shit is gay.

whoo someone on my side lol and yes this fat kid that used to work at waukesha lol he worked with me when he got the truck then moved to waukesha for more money. then they transfered him back to delefield. he was just telling me about the turbo sierra thats gana be at the bcm car show i told him yup i know that truck too.

yeah we are prolly going with hptuners for all our trucks. if you were at the etbt pull my buddy won the stock class with his white cummins. my brother tried to make the kenosha one but all the websites said 6:30 for pulls not stock class at 1:30 so he missed it. i think it's awesome to have something at the track and then go do a pull with it later on. what does he put down for dyno numbers?

when it was single tuned with just the bully dog and spray it was 589hp 1200+ftlbs. now it should be over 600hp on spray.

i was at etbt for that pull. he couldnt make that one. what is done to ur buddys truck that thing picked up alot of speed 3/4 way down like he sprayed it:stare

that was just him locking up his torque converter.....he has quite a large turbo though so when he locks it in it is almost like he sprays it. he takes off so slow cuz his engine boogs at low boost. has some fueling issues....too much boost not enough fuel....he had it dynoed and put down 5 something with it.
