The first time I saw him fly through the air I thought it was definitely fake, but then realized it was real after seeing the rest of it.....:wooo

What do you think his 0-60 time was...??? :goof

I'd say about 3.4 seconds.....:rolf

For the record, the guy lived, just in critical condition. Just the freakin acceleration on that second hop, wow.

That's what I was thinking too Andy but it happened so fast that he most likely didn't know what the hell was going on. I'm also thinking that if he would have let go 'mid-launch' he would have been killed, hanging on and 'riding it out' probably saved his life.....:durr

after the first crash, holding on was still pretty dumb... he hit hard that time and lucky it was sand.

I agree but I was referring to the second 'launch', aka the BIG one.....

Sure he should have let go after hitting the sand but if he was that bright he wouldn't be out there in the first place.....:chair:

hell yeah and when he hit the sand he should've let go. It would've been before the take off so he just would've been laying in the sand. Then he could've walked away from it.

he couldnt... the kite was attached to him via a harness... so he was going for a ride no matter what...

On the weather channel interview, they said he could not reach the safety release in time.
