as much of a import guy as i am, i wouldn't do that to a late 60's fastback. now a notchback or a SN95. sure why not

The only issue i have with it is he claims to have $100K in parts into it (that may be a slight exaseration) but if speed is what you are going for you could get a lot more bang for your buck if you stuck with something like a 351 or something.... Deffintaly creative but not my cup of tea i guess.

That was my 1st thought as well. I mean maybe 100K including the car/paint/labor/parts/etc..but still thats a whole lotta $$$$

No way there is a 100k into it for the motor stuff. Probably a lot of it was in chassis work.

But other than that... RB26 FTW, at least some people respect a real mans engine :)
BTW the car is actually not all that fast as it sits. IIRC (it was in one of the car mags) the car ran like a low 13 or high 12 or something as it sits. Although yea a little fuel, tuning, and boost could change that.

Here is some stuff about the F&F car. Yes, the car did run the asian 6 banger in it for some scenes, but to get some serious speed out of it, they built another one with a 460 V8 in it. As good as the JDM engine is, it can't pull the heavier Mustang at those speeds. Plus those street scenes were actually LA made up to look like Tokyo. I think the curvy road they all drifted on was Mulholland.
