I am working on a small project and need the actual paint codes for 1957 Chevrolet Onyx Black and India Ivory. I have tried dealers and here on the net, but can't find the actual paint codes for the exact apint shades.

from what I could find out from the net, looks like onyx black alone is code 793 and india ivory is 593, but is suppose to be a two tone only color.

The code for the two tone combination code of onxy black and india ivory is 807. They do have the old paint codes for different paint manufacturers listed for the india ivory and onxy black on the links. A good paint and body supplier, may have old chip books back that far, and will be able to look up the mixing code for those colors, as well as what they can mix it up in, or cross reference the old ditzler or dupont numbers.

Ok. 1957 Chevy color 793 Black is just a straight black. Nothing else to it. You can have your local store mix up some straight black in what ever you spray.

Almost all paint lines have a factory pack black available.
