It was a bone stock cam with 1.7's. The best that car (the 86) ever ran was a 13.6 at 102 with a 2.0 60ft.

I knew that car inside in out because I was the one that built it. It started it's life as a 4cylinder auto until I got a hold of it and did the conversion in 9 day on my vacation with hand tools and a floor jack in the middle of February.

When I had it, I guesstimated that it was about 290-300 horse and 320-330 ft lbs of torque at the crank. The motor were rated at 220hp and 300ftlbs bone stock. At best it was putting the stock rating at the wheels. I did spray the motor with a 100 shot (wet) and had no problem hanging with mid-12 second cars on the street. Then again, I also knew how to drive.

Today, just the thought of someone else driving it pisses me off. I SHOULD have sold it to someone that was going to love it and take it to the next level like Bobby (427 S/C) did with his car.

I am still butt hurt about it to this day. I am a bad Car Dad.:mad:
