I'll finish this post tomorrow. I just came straight back from there. Now that I think about it, it isn't that far. The last 200 miles were too cold! I'm going to bed.

I am assuming since it says you are from Cedarburg you weren't out at Deals Gap? or where you?

The whole area is just awesome. I went through Gatlinburg and took 441 through the Smokies to Cherokee and then took 19 to 28 and then the Dragon.

Almost all of the roads out there are twisty. On the dragon, I managed to scrape my pegs about 100 times (not that hard to do on a Harley).

BTW- it stays warm down there at night.

Its also where Mazda does a lot of their commercials for new cars. The Cx7 or 9 commercial was done right on Deals Gap

Part of me is thinking about heading back down there again on Monday or Tuesday and plan on being home by Thursday night.

It's not just route 129, but that whole area. I want to go back into the smokies again. I just want one complete day there so that I can do a few things that I did not have time for the first go-around. I am also thinking about camping while I am there instead of getting a hotel.

The "Tree of Shame"

If you dump on the dragon, you are allowed to put a piece of your bike on the tree.

If I go there again, I am going to bring a video camera with me and I will record the whole length of the dragon. I won't be going fast, but I'll at least put together a vid that lacks crappy music and the first 3 minutes will not be me showing off my bike while it is parked. It would also be one of a few clips on youtube that does not include a Harley wiping out.

Didn't go. I thought TS Fay would rain on the area. Alot of other stuff happened around here that I did not expect.

I was going to go to Hannibal, Missouri, instead, but its raining right now. SOL.
