looks a lot better with the spoiler than it did without.

I think it may be due to the very different lines of the spoiler off the body. In the sunlight it looks normal, but weird when it gets dark. The color of the car itself is weird, it has purples as well as medium blues, and you can see the lightness via the metalflake. When there's more light everything looks normal. I really inspected it and maybe my eyes are crappy, but during the day in the sunlight it all looks normal. There is only one listed code for Impulse Blue. I figured I'd give it some some, as the painting was JUST DONE like two days ago. No time to futz w/ it with the wedding this weekend, I'll have to go to the painter next week, and maybe have Fox look @ it. I think the problem is shitty factory paint w/ not enough coats, and then someone decently coats a new spoiler, and it looks deeper. I dunno. It bothered me as when it was installed it was cloudy and raining and it looked a little weird, but when I first saw it in the sun this morning and thruout the day it looked like a dead match. Also the rest of the car could benefit from a buffing as well, that might also show differences in the color depth

no no no no, i heard you loud and clear. It's a legitimate concern, and personally it's mine as well. It looks fine when I photograph it though.

Here is an example of all three. New spoiler, trunk and old spoiler

car looks good. get a cheap tripod and use that w/ your camera and turn the flash off. use the timer function too so that the cam doesnt move at all when on the tripod. it'll make a world of difference. you can get some great shots w/ cheap point and shoot cameras.

look into a porter cable polisher for removing swirls etc, that kind of thing cant be done by hand, at least w/ no where near the results as by machine.\

nice car

thats Dew. Tonight jer and I are gonna tackle buffing the car. My hypothosis is that part of the issue is the car badly needing to be waxed and buffed, and that this perfectly shiny new spoiler is throwing it off.
