I'm looking for a 5hp-8hp horizontal shaft engine. I'd prefer Briggs or Tecumseh but just about anything will work. It's going on a concrete mixer.

Not sure what you think of Harbor Freight Engines, but my dad just bought one for his power washer that died and it is really nice. Runs quiet and really smooth.

Here is the one he picked up.

Wow, that was quick finding a 241. They're pretty rare, especially in 32spline.

I always was kind of scared of Harbor Freight and Northern Tool stuff as far as I/C and electric motors go. But if people have been having good luck with them maybe I'll give one a whirl. Seems like $150 is a pretty large wager for a bit of a gamble for a cheapskate like me. Especially on something that gets like zero use. I haven't had much luck with modern small engines. Seems like they're all Californized.

Seems like these three are the best bang for the buck for a new one.
