11, count 'em 11 ZR1's at RoadAmerica(pics)

At the NCM event at Road America event today there was 11 ZR1's at the track!!! I was in heaven!! They were all owned by GM employees as they are not available to the public yet and all had specical VINs from what I could tell.

They were run on the track and many were pushed hard. I have a ton of pics in the pit and a bunch on the track.

BTW, I was using my Dad's new Nikon D80 with a 2x magnifer and either a 28-90 or a 70-300 lense.

This camera is great for high speed pics and did a great job all weekend!!!

Awesome. I like the clear hood window. A shaker hood would be separate from the hood like a Trans Am. Wonder if that engine cover will fit on my Ecotech Four?

Thanks for the pics. I was there yesterday, Monday just to see the ZR1's run. There was a red one that sounded like an aftermarket exhaust.

I don't believe any of the ZR1's were ever run that hard. I heard conflicting reasons why there were not run hard.

I didn't catch your name but I was at the trailer sitting down when you came over and we were talking about Corvette clutches.

Agree 100%. From the front, I am good with the hood. The see through window on the hood is wrong!

Not crazy about ZR1 badge on back of car either. When you spend 108-120K, suttle is a good thing.

Oh yes there was plenty of non-ZR1;s there. I took over 300 pics total.

Todd gave me a ride in his silver C5 and that was incredible. The car was just insane when it came to handling and Todd is one hell of a driver. He handled that car like a pro.

It was mostly C5 and C6's there. But there was 4 C3's, 4 C4's also.

Todd said an old style ZR-1 and a C6 Z06 were turned to scrap Monday and an Audi Tuesday.
