Just drive it, Rusty. 2000 miles isn't shit. Sure isn't going to make your car worth $900 less.

Come to think of it, I don't think 9 hundo would cover fuel expenses nowadays from here to Cali and back..

i was wondering that?? i will probably just have a transport company ship it

In all honesty that would be your best bet by far. For wear and tear, no rock chips and they are insured so if anyhting happened to it, it would be on their dime.

Good luck man. :thumbsup

4K Miles Round Trip.

A truck like mine would probably get about 20 unloaded w/ empty car hauler and 16 loaded with a car and the drag so let's say average of 18 and that would probably decrease since there are mountains to deal with so these fgures are probably underrated.

4000mi/18avg mpg= 222 gallons of fuel X $4.40 (generous national avg price of diesel probably actually higher) = $977 in fuel alone

Cliffnotes... Ship it via transport if you can get it done for $900

...and if I did it, you'd have to sell the car to afford it. Us Gassers can't pull the MPG the oil burners cans. I'd be lucky to get 9 or 10 ave @ $4ish per gallon.

Contact my Interstate Dispatcher (Rick) and see if I have anyone out west this week or in the next couple weeks... May be able to run it back this way as an LTL. Not sure what the dollars will be... Depends on the opportunity. (414) 372-7000

Does your shit get miracle milage? I get 20-21 UNLOADED average untill the truck goes into regen. Then the overall average drops to like 16mpg. And I drive 65 on the cruise most of the time almost ALL highway. If you got a secret let me know!!!

As far as transporting that thing for $900, good luck is all I can say 4eyed hit that one on the head. Be prepared to pay $1500-$2000 to ship that thing.

I forgot about regens. But it still doesn't drop off that much for me. I shot up north Sat night pulling a trailer and averaged 20.1 with a regen halfway up there cruise at 65.

Unloaded (no trailer) at 65, I've done 24-25mpg with no regens and 22-23 avg. for that tank with a regen thrown in.

65 seems to be the magic number for my truck. The instant you exceed that, your mileage suffers

Yet another good idea. BUT... It would cost more then a grand to put a GOOD replacement in there. Screw another 10 bolt.
