F in window???

Well I go to roll my window and it isn't going up right. So basically in the picture theres an arrow pointing to what broke on my window. I couldn't get a good picture of my actual window (thank you Ebay) cause I'm no rush to pull the thing out. Anyways, theres a pin that goes through that hole and slides up a track which keeps the window from going side to side and back and forth. The pin got pulled straight down and ripped out of the hole and only half the hole is left . So going down is okay but obviously coming up the window needs to be held stationery for it to roll up correctly. Does anyone have any ideas on how i could fix that? All that it needs is something to keep the pin in that hole. Since its broke in such a stupid spot im forced to buy a new window if we cant think of a way to fix it. I just need a good idea from somebody :thumbsup

The window looks as it the bracket is riveted on. Can you just buy a new bracket? My brother-in-laws grand am had these two plastic holders that were epoxied to the window that broke in half hopwever, the glass was still good.
Every window company said I had to replace the window because the glass came with the plastic biscuits on it. Well needless to say I scored a set of biscuits at the Pontiac dealership in Brookfield and fixed the window.

just weld it its steel just a little tack or 2 is all you should need

I'm guessing you have a Camaro. Same thing happened in my sisters 96. I took it apart and plug welded that pin back in. It's held solid ever since.

Yea im just trying to see if theres a way to save a perfectly good window.... Thanks for the help guys ill figure something out.

Why not tach weld a washer on each side for the pin to sit in?

The problem with that is the window may not roll up correct because of how far the pin is in. If it has washer(s) welded on it could sit to far to the left or right which would could cause the window to roll up slow or difficult. Im going to try a few things tomorrow and see if anything would work.

It's the pin and the roller that rides up and down in the devision bar.
They have nice ones that are treaded on end with a nut.
