Black hood, before and after

Jason is detailing a black Fullsize in the garage, I was surprised when I saw how bad the paint was. Here is a before and after with the buffer:

The specs are rock chips / buffing compound as he was buffing on the fender when I took the photos

Hey man what kind of foam pads and stuff do you use?

I was looking at a 3M 3 pad setup and two bottles. But its like $35+
