4 peices cost me 100 bucks crazy ,

now what i'm wondering is look in the second picture i thought its suppose to pin the crank shoudln't the whole be drilled on the side of the crank and not the top on my other crank from the blown block the pin is in the side of the crank

With that type of kit, you install/seat the pulley first, install this jig, and drill from the end of the crank. The hole will be centered on the seam between the OD of the crank, and the ID of the pulley bore. Once hole is drilled, you tap the pin into the hole, and then either spin the jig and repeat (if installing multiple pins), otherwise install new crank bolt, and final torque it.

If you have an aftermarket pulley with a keyway...you can still use this kit, just drill it wherever the keyway isn't (keyway won't be utilized).
There are vertical pinning kits that will set short pin(s) in the side of the crank snout like you're thinking of to line up with the pulley keyway (ie: the ATI kit), but since you already have this...just use it..

For what you have, the finished product should look like this:

Is this for an LS1? If so, what is the purpose. Looking to learn. Thanks - Josh

its a must for turbo and supercharged motors and yes its an ls1 its suppose to stop the pulleys from slipping so u dont lose power

I did that to my last Viper when I added the supercharger - precisely as someone said it is to prevent the dampener/pulley from slipping on the crank, which will eventually wear it out and it can get loose enough to fly off even.
