There was one driving around our gas station yesterday. It looked amazing, and was bright orange.

You could tell they were doing tests, as the passenger had a clip board or something like that.

I even ran outside to try and wave the guy in but he was already around the corner :(

a orange challenger or camaro?

See thats just it, im not 100% Sure. I was still in awe to see it, but there must be someone around my area that works for GM. Because the same thing happened before the Z06's came out back in 06. A guy was driving one around before they even hit the dealerships.

Either way, it looked great.

That's what happens when a car weighs 4100 lbs. My old 1971 Olds Vista Cruiser wagon was only a few hundred more than the SRT8 :goof
With seating for 8:rolf

Saw a black one with gunmetal stripes, looked hawt. In West Bend. It's funny the amount of cars up here. ON MY BLOCK there are 2 69 Chargers, a 64 Mustang Vert, a 71 Monte, and another S197 GT. All within about 1/4 mile radius. Strange, lol.

There was one in East Troy at a car show, but before I could go get a closer look at it, they left. It was an orange Challenger.

That's what happens when a car weighs 4100 lbs. Actually, I posted about it...

the guy was horrid behind the wheel. One of those that drove by the staging lights, backed up to stage his rear, etc.

First run was wierd...kind of a jump/bog/kinda jump...like he activated his traction control. Ended up with a 13.9 @ 101 mph.

Second one, someone must have given him the wrong idea about how to launch...as it seems obvious that he was "foot-braking" at the start line...while this usually works well for older automatic cars, for the modern cars that limit torque/trans slipping, this is bad...essentially on his second run the car again, dogged on the line, then 3-5' out smoked badly one tire (shouldn't happen like that with the ECU controlled limited slip rear...unless he freaked it out, lol) for about 30-40' down the track; after that...it got going. This run was even worse at 14.7 @ 102 or something...

this guy was BAD.

Every SRT vehicle there (heavier and otherwise) were whipping up on this guy. Even the regular hemi in heavier cars were beating this dude (a couple of 13.5 headers/tune cars were there). There was even a stock AWD Magnum running nearly as fast (14.6 @ 96mph)....AWD!!!

Best way to launch the modern auto mopars in my experience is to simply hold your left foot on the brake, right just over the throttle. If it's a pick-up, react to the middle amber and slam your foot down. If a car, anticipate the third amber and again, slam your foot down. AND MAKE SURE THE T/C IS OFF!!!! I can't get over how badly they limit the initial power and for how long when it's not off.

Thats the problem. She plans everything then I get stuck doing things. If I know in advance I can tell her to **** off.

I know the area well. I run to Summit Lake or Elcho about 56 times every weekend that we go camping, lol.

We camp up at Jack Lake, Veteran's Memorial Park, about 10 miles south of Elcho.

Here's the Challenger pic.
