I'm thinking of getting this Yukon for winter. What kind of MPG do you guys think it would get? I was thinking 16 mpg hwy. Any comments or other ideas? I was also looking at 4.0L rangers, but this Yukon seams like a great deal.

Sorry for the long link

15ish hwy is what my 98 5.7L gets with 265/75/R16. That has 33's on it.

I betcha there's rust at the bottom of the doors, but hey its 12 years old

Always liked the 2 door blazers/yukon's. If you're worried about the mileage, then it's worse than you would like. It's a great deal though due to the glut of trucks hitting the used car market....

yeah I would say anywhere from 12-15mpg freeway.

I love how people put "highway miles" in their ad

A friend of mine is selling his '93 2 door. 150k, needs a little work, rear main and it has minor damage on the front end. Recent paint job (dark blue metallic), custom front and rear bumpers, aftermarket wheels with big tires and a cowl hood. I think he wants $2,000-2500. Interested? I can give a call if you want.

lol no its got both! Actully it was a family friend who really wanted a new(er) Tiburan or however you spell it. So first we agreed on 1500, then i said no, then he bagged and i got it for $1050 :thumbsup best part my insurance went from 1900/year for just the truck.... to 1300/year for both the truck and the corolla! With the Corolla as primary driver. So that paid for 3/4 of the car right there.

Like the truck, prefered the GT's but it looks similar.
Probably a great vehicle provided you dont care about MPG and can give it the mechanical attention it will need here and there.
15mpg avg is optimistic I would guess 12 city 15 hwy.

3.42s and 265x75r16s should net you ~16-17.5mpg highway. City is going to be about 14.5 if you drive respectably.

Probably gets 12 city and 14-15 highway the way it sits assuming it has 3.42s. A little bit better with 3.73s or 4.10s. Most of the non-GTs got 3.42s though.

hmmm... thanks for the tips. I'm thinking of waiting a bit longer to see if he drops the price more. It's been on auto trader for 9 months now with the same miles.
