I was called today and will be activated on Friday. I do not have any details on what I will be doing or if/were I will be going. Currently my term is for one year, but that is a default time frame and I will fine out more later.

Well, it looks like I lucked out for a couple of months. Because of Jacki having the baby within a month someone was nice enough to switch with me and I will now leave in a couple of months. I am still activated, but will be working at the base while others are across the pond. This way I can see the birth of the child and enjoy Jacob's 2nd Christmas, which now he understands a little more.
