Would there be interest to sign up for this? They called me this afternoon to ask if they could set up a booth at the show. I personally think it's a great cause, but I don't want them to waste their time if nobody would sign up.

Are You Man Enough?

Wondering if you have what it takes to be a Big Brother?

You don't need to change your life to impact his. Being a Big Brother is about spending one-on-one time with a child or teen on a regular basis, doing things you enjoy. It can be as simple as including your Little Brother in what you already like to do.

It's about spending time, not money. Watch a movie. Cook out. Tune up your car or play catch. Just showing up is what matters!

Big Brothers Big Sisters supports you. We provide volunteer orientation, activity ideas and a discount program with special offers for "Bigs" and "Littles." Your own match specialist is just a call away to offer ongoing help and encouragement. We're here to help you as much or as little as you want.

You can do it. You don't need to have experience or special skills. You already know how to hang out with a friend-- use your friendship to make a difference in a child's life.

No, I'm sorry I just wasn't very clear. They just want to setup a booth to inform people about what it is and to sign up for information, what have you.

One of their big things is having guys let a kid hang out with them while they work on their car or whatever, hence their reasoning to want to be at the show.

Thanks for voting guys. I think I'm going to have them come. I'm sure most of us would have loved the chance to hang out with a "car guy" while we were growing up, especially if we didn't have parents to rely on for that opportunity.

If you have thoughts or opinions, feel free to PM me. I'm open to everything and anything.

Now that our kids are gone we had talked about it but having two jobs and two homes to care for we just don't have time to give the extra attention these kids need.
