They should have them at State Fair in a few weeks. We love the gimmick demos...

Don't know if they'll be 8 for $20.. but probably 2 or 4.

Same here, works great! Plus a little compressed air into the door handle and under/between the mirrors. Works like a charm.

Target had the ArmorAll microfiber towels on clearance for $4. Seem to work almost as good as a natural chamois. Definitely worth the $4 for 6sqft.

I just drive the car really fast around the block and stop and wipe dry. I've used the california blade and its scrached my car. I just do the drive real quick and dry method seems to work well on black cars.

Congratulations on getting dust all over your car (yes it's there, even if you can't see it) and then rubbing it into the paint :P

Waterblade can't scratch your car, it's rubber.
You must have had something on the car, that you dragged across with the blade. :P

well I saw nothing and I though it was because of the way the hood curved. This was on my old 96 cobra though.

Collecting dust in my shack in the back, water blade & chamois.
Microfiber for this and that but the leaf blower+10 minutes>all others.

I tried the leaf blower thing and it works like crap. I guess you need like a industrial one or something. It was good for the door moldings and the mirrors and stuff.

That's the point, you use a water blade for the big surface areas and the leaf blower for the nooks and crannies :goof

water blade, then microfiber, then compressed air, follow up with microfiber = not even needing quick detailer in most cases!

what most people don't know about the sham is it needs to be wet first in order to work properly. It still never got ALL the water off my car though.

That goes for every type of artificial or genuine chamois.

I'll stick to my artificial chamois from NAPA. Best chamois ever

Water Blade FTL.

I used one (yes the original California) and it left silicone streaks on my car. Sat on my shelf for years before I threw it out.

Absorber works great. I buy a fresh one every year.

I then hit it with the stuff my detailer sells me in a bottle, an orange colored wax stuff I spray on like a detailer and wipe off with a micro.

^^^^ The water blade did the same thing to me. What is frustrating about it is, it is harder to remove the silicone streaks than it is water spots....

My water blades never left any streaks if used properly. I've been using them for ~5 years

Same here.

Are you guys sure you're using it right? You know if you use it to wipe lube off a hookers back, you may need to clean it thoroughly before using on your car?

Waterblade ftw.
Only thing I ever use. I even got my mom using one on the Vette.

Yes, I guess we were not using them properly. Such a complicated device, beyond our skill level.

Who knows, maybe they improved them over the years, I think I bought mine like 7 years ago, and it left bad streaks on my car which were a ***** to get out.

I don't like windshield wipers on a stick. For the PITA factor I'd rather use a natural chamois or a microfiber towel. Easier to get a streak-free finish with a properly maintained chamois but the same can be said for cooking with a cast iron pan. I don't cook with cast iron pans because I'm lazy.

Yeah I know there's not much to using them. Maybe they had some early batches that had poor quality silicone in them or something. *shrug* All I know is I and several friends and family members have been using them for years without problems. I like them because you can get a huge, flat surface bone dry in like 10 seconds.

I just don't use water to begin with. No waterspots. Plus now that I am in Erin (Hartford) we have well water and it leave mega spots.
