I know we have talked about this before, I just went through www.gto.com and I am impressed. I have been a GTO fan for oh I don't maybe 'bout 36 years, and am glad to see it comeback,

Did notice that it has a true dual exhaust, and independant rear susp.

There is no such thing as a replacement for the Camaro. The Camaro lives on forever!! :rockwoot:

Wanna see this grand am's taillights?

There will be a black GTO in janesville in the next week or two.... (not mine)

I want to make it up for the 4th of July show and the Fosters Pontiac show with mine

I cant figure out what to get on my plates as WI apparantly doesnt like the word "killer" on em

You guys are just hearing about this?
Whats more impressive is Caddy CTS-V Which is going to have 400 hp and an LS6 engine. Yes they are making it for sure. I am not talking about the XLR which is built on the C6 platform I mean the CTS.
There is also a GTO Judge coming out next year sometime which is supposed to have the LS6 engine.

I dont know about you, but I don't have 50G right now for the CTS-V

I wouldnt waste the money on a over priced judge...when you could make the regular GTO perform better for less $

I like the new GTO's but to me they look More Like a GRAND PRIX and not a Grand Am.

I think they look decent, looks alone on them won't make me turn my head but with a LS1 and RWD, its cool enough :D. They might of killed the f-body but at least they did make or bring over a RWD V-8 performance car to sell instead of nothing...hopefully a couple more models in the somewhat near future added to the GTO. Hope it sells well.

Plus its the first *midsize*(actual trunk, more room inside) performance car in a long time...which is cool, IMO.

IMO, you guys can thank ex-chrysler exec bub lutz for such a great car coming over though...I honestly don't think GM would have brought it over otherwise.

Scratch that .... very small trunk, the fuel cell is right behind the back seats

No Marv, I have heard about it for some time now, just recently visited the website.

As far as it being just a Grand Am or Grand Prix, remeber the first GTO in 64 was just a Tempest with a 389 in it.

The fact that they are bringing out a rear wheel drive V8 is just plenty exciting to me. The F-bod can't be replaced that is kinda like building a car to "replace" the Vette. Isn't going to happen, it has to large of following. It is new and different.

Myself I don't like any front wheel drive car. It just doesn't pull right to me. This however I do like and hope that it becomes a hit and sticks around for awhile.

They have a fuel cell instead of gas tank under the car? :confused That will help sales Im sure  .

At least the rear seats are accessible...I hope.

You're right about Lutz...hes pretty much the only reason there is hope at GM after seeing how they run things in recent years...GTO and taking the cladding off the Pontiacs, good start! :).

well the 'tank' was relocated to behind the seats for US saftey standards.

The back seats are very roomy BUT the front seats do move up a little slower than everyone would like
