Glad your ok man. My friend who is a great rider always says...
"It isn't a matter of if you will lay it down, more like when you will lay it down"

Gear FTW

yeah, im definitely doing ok, just woke up, they had me on perkicet and flexirall last night with an ibuprofen. elbow is still a little stiff but knee seems to be ok right now, but then again i just woke up and im bed right now. the only thing im really upset about is how i damaged Jim's car that he just got but he will be contacting me today and my parents are going to help me out with it since i hadnt had insur on the bike because i was waiting for my agent to call me back with the quote on it.

like you all said though, gear FTW, the roof of the car definitely had some good dents in it that everyone is assuming is from my helmet, the 3 images i remember are i went to go for the brake and after it didnt stop i member seeing the hatch in my face, then the wheel and exhaust up in the air next to me and then i was on the ground with ron next to me asking me if i was awake and ok.... something i will never forget and i will thank myself for wearing my helmet religiously everytime im on a bike....definitely wont stop riding though but i do have to figure out how im going to pay for the car and hospital bill now.

it was an r1

thats alot of bike for an advanced rider, let alone a beginner.

i think steve was actually luck to hit a car stopped, rather than shoot out into cross traffic. those cars on howell are going AT LEAST 50 past there. he could have esily been creamed by someone passing by.

most definitely you are right about shooting into that traffic, would have been much worse. can you pm me jim's cell number ron? my parents want to talk to him about the car

i remember grabbing the brakes hard and the bike still wanting to go forward with gas, next thing i remember was the tire and exhaust in the air near me, and then i was on the ground with ron asking me if i was ok.

dont mean to piss in an open woun but it sounds like the bik wasnt mechanically fit to be ridden. I go over braks throttle chain and tire pressure before thinking about leaving he driveway

did you have insurance n the bike?
