Project nova update

Well its been a while since a made any progress pictures. I always like seeing updates on others so I figured since today was kinda a big day of the build i would post.
Backround is bought the car out of california was a driving car that made it to a junk yard they kept the car together. I personaly drove the car home from JEFFERSON swapmeet where a friend of my dads had brought it to for us to look at. took the car home and it needless to say never made it back it was "the car". been searching for the right one up and down for good 5 years probably passed a few good ones up at the time for the price but 2 years ago JUNK was going for 4k. Ended up scooping this one. It was 3 speed on the colum 6 banger. green with white top and moldings on the roof. Drove the car around for about 2 weeks made it pass emissions and then started stripping the car.

Now for the best part. Car should be all done tomorrow or saturday. Should be home next week sometime to put it all together and start having some fun with it.

Thanks for the compliments. Ya there been no short cuts taken on it. Going to be a eat off the bottom of the floor kinda car. Its getting the sleeper looks as you can see the steel wheels there getting the little dog dish caps. And the color on the wheels is the color of the car its called phathom blue was an original color back in the day. The car got all jamed in yesterday and the wheels painted. Cant wait for satureday to see it all color I HOPE anyway.

And Eric...NO BAGS if thats what your reffering to as you see coil springs:).

car didnt get painted last week. As of today its sposed to be in the paint booth today and tomorrow. So i think its going to be home this weekend!!!! keeping my fingers crossed.

Haha ya but i didnt have to do any body work like you are. I would have lost intrest already. Ill wax and clean the hell out of something but i couldnt stand to do what your doing to tedious. So now its the easy part for me. take the parts out of the basement and start assmebling:banana

The motor and tranny went in the car today. The rear end was put in about 2 months ago. Trunk was painted few weeks ago. Dash is all painted and the floor was por-15. Put the gas tank in. Heater delete plates. Its comming along. Sending the headers out this week to get jet-hot coated, then shove the frame back under and get it running and it will be time to really go to town on the car and finish it up.

WELL THE CAR IS NOW ALL DONE. WE WENT TO THE NATIOANL NASTALGIC NOVA SHOW THIS PAST THRUSDAY. TOWED THE CAR DOWN THERE TOOK IT OFF THE TRAILOR AND GOT IT JUDGED IN 15 MINS OF GETTING THERE. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE CAR WAS STELLER! WON GOLD GLASS WHICH IS FROM BEING JUDGED. WON A CHAPTER PICK WHICH IS FROM ONE OF THE GROUPS FROM ONE STATE THE GROUP PICS THERE FAVORITE CAR. LAST AWARD WON WITH IT WAS THE PEOPLES CHOICE(SEE PIC BELOW :) ) WHICH IS EVERYONE THAT WAS ATTENDING THE SHOW GETS TO CHOOSE A CAR THAT STANDS OUT TO THEM. IT DID WELL AND WAS LIKED. FINALLY GOT TO DRIVE IT FOR BAISCALLY THE FIRST TIME DOWN THERE A LITTLE AND TOOK IT OUT TODAY WITH MY DAD FOR LUNCH ITS A BLAST!

Funny thing is the liscense plate is a "real" one its super thick and there going for like 150-200 on ebay....what people pay for things...my dad bought them new for like 6 bucks he had the recipt from early 80s
