Lets just say I take care of people that don't abuse me. I have no problem helping any board members here and I have helped many. I am competitive with what a whole sale account gets pricing for. Feel free to call me at the store and I will quote you.

Dan

lol ok. If I have time to do my brakes on sat I will. I changed my front brakes 2 years ago on my truck and a month after I did that, they started warping already. So yeah, I'm not going back to CSK for brake parts anyway.

Would you be able to tell me about how much all 4 rotors and pads would be for a 99 Silverado 1500 and what ones to get? Its been so long since I have dealt with brakes.

I bought the "good" Rotors at CSK. I thought Raybestos was a decent brand but I guess not anymore.

I cant count how many times dan has helped me get the right parts for an assortment of different vehicles. I was doing intake gaskets on a friends 3.1 motor (what a surprise) and he even printed off the equivelent of ALLDATA step by step instructions since I had never done the intake gasket job before. He printed out the 15 page write up on it, got me all the gaskets and high temp RTV, coolant, oil, filter, and a whole bunch of other goodies to get the job done. Dan is easily the best car parts guy to talk to

Thanks for the comments Bubba, I appreciate it. I am human and do make mistakes at the parts counter. All I really need is year model make and a Vin#

Trucks can be a pain sometimes as GVW plays a big factor. Also Honda's can be a PIA as DX, EX LX models vary.

I can get Drilled and slotted rotors for your bird or I can get you Power Slots. Pads are not a problem. Rotor would be a few days to get.

lilws6
07-16-2008, 05:32 PM
what kinds of rotors do you deal with i'm looking for quality and i don't know what i'm looking for i'd want the best quality for both pads and rotors so there gana last and stop good

Holeshot
07-16-2008, 05:39 PM
Our Drilled and slotted rotors are made in Mc Henry Il As are our better grade pads. Same company that makes Raybestos and United Brakes. Brake parts Inc Mc Henry Il. Our other lines are manufactured by a company owned by NAPA AKA Genuine Parts Company. Rayloc Inc Power Slots are Mad in California by Power Slot Inc

so what do you have for regular decent rotors. I used Raybestos when I went to CSK and they warped right away.

lilws6
07-16-2008, 05:45 PM
witch would you recomend for the bird? i do drag it once and a while. I've warped the front many times already and there getting bad lol i can only make three passed at the strip before i think the steering wheel will shake me off the track

Holeshot

To be totally honest I would recommend Power slots it your budget allows. Bembro rotors and Baer Brakes are very expensive but are great brakes . Also Hawk brake pads are great for track and road course runs. you can get power slots on line and may be cheaper then I can get them. Do a little online surfing and call me. I don't know if I can bet pricing for them. I have access to Our store inventory but not pricing so I cant quote you form home.
