Found this in Hemmings... I hope it was known that the car was going to a speculator for resale. Same thing happened with my Dad's Custom 1939 Convertible when it was in Hemmings three weeks later with a sticker +$20,000 but we didn't know he was a speculator. Here's the add...

I'm pretty sure it is the same car, I searched the thread where he posted the magazine article and both cars have about 5,000 miles with original drivetrain.

Thats it. If you look in Tom's post about it being sold, it has the same front plate and it is in the same parking lot!

yeah thats the car, the dude from canada who was gonna buy it got killed in that earthquake in china as he was there on buisness. It was gonna take 3 months to get it shipped up there, it had to wait for a special carrier. In the mean time he put a desosit on it, goes past the dead line and then hear nothing from him, after talking to his financial advisor we found that news out.
