Yeah! It says it's his 2nd and 3rd passes but he had to have rode a bike before because he knew what he was doing!

I dont care how much skills the kid has got, which he certainly does.

Putting a 12 year old on a High HP Bike is insane.

see post above... you just have to have no regard for your childs life ... but then again in 4 years he could be driving on the streets with one legaly.. but there is a huge maturity difference between 12 and 16. for some that is:rolf

I was going to say the same. It's disaster waiting to happen.

I agree, a 12 year old does not have the right understanding yet of how much his life could change if he crashed , once you are a adult of 18 it's your call !( even if you don't understand what could happen yet ) .

Saweet ride ... couldn't tell if he was draggin his feet the whole pass but yikes.... as for being too young I suppose I agree, but there are plenty of other sports and activities he could get mangled in at that age anyway

I think that is so awesome. If the kid has the skill level and ability to do what some grown men are afraid of doing... let him have at it. All I have to say about him personally is.... Prodigy.

Oh and I hope they have good health insurance. :goof

The second pass looked pretty hairy on the top end! I don't think he's too young. What's the difference between this and giving your kid a yz80 and letting him loose at Bong for an afternoon?

If your 12 in wisconsin you can take snowmobile safety and ride by yourself on the trail. I personally saw a couple of 12 and 13 year olds riding 800 cc sleds last winter but i do agree there is a line when it comes to maturity and handling situations.

I think its a great thing. This means he will actually KNOW how to ride a bike when he gets a license unlike 95% of the clowns on motorcycles that dont know how to handle there bike. Ive seen SO many people on bikes rear end cars, hit shit from not paying attention, stall there bike out at every stoplight, or just straight drop the ***** over for no good reason. I truly believe that the requirements to get a bike license are a joke and should be alot tougher. I also think that insurance (liability) should be REQUIRED for people with motorcycles because of the amount of morons that ride them and are a hazard to the road.

Which is nuts. I got my License for that when I was 12, and believe me, my liquid cooled 440 was enough for me.

i dont think 12 is too young for riding a bike at all. at that age they can still drive, handle things just as good or better than they ever will. you always get better of course.

now with the fact that maturity has nothing to do with controling anything, but with the person and their ability to understand and have self control. i dont think at that age you truly understand what you are risking. hell people at my age(24) including myself at times dont think about whats at risk. given that, you would have to know the person to decide if they are mature. some people NEVER mature. :)

I think thats cool as hell. I remeber going 7's when I was 15 but that was also in a dragster, not two wheels.

Plenty of pre 16 year olds driving dragsters. Is that not dangorous what about 12 years olds making a pact to have babies or the ones on drugs? If he has the ability to ride that bike and his family is confident in his maturity with the bike in general who are we to say he's to young to pursue this great hobby of his? Sounds like he's just getting a leg up on the drag bike scene. Sick run!!

I will totaly agree with you on this one cuz i just went through the class to get my licence and i knew what i was doing but half the class had no reason so see a bike on the street. If they tried i think they would either end up in intesive care or worse because they think they have the skills from a 4 day class that they prolly slept through

That is very impressive but I would never let my 12 year old do that.

I didn't know that was even legal at a track? Don't you have to have a license to drive a motor vehicle? GLD doesn't even want you in the car unless you are 16 when it goes down the track.

Yeah I don't think it's legal! But they may have got the track to let him run it..
