I'm looking for a place to camp that's within a two hour drive of Milwaukee. Maybe a bit longer for Door County, however. Any suggestions???

My family went up there 7 years in a row for camping. We went to Yogi Bear Campground, its northwest of Oshkosh. Really nice and very clean. They have sites for just tent camping, cabins you can rent, also you can bring your RV too. They have fun activities for all ages and they are located off of Partridge Lake so you can also rent boats, canoes, and go fishing.

Here is the site:

Devils Lake is a great place to camp and its right next to the dells so you can go there for the day.

Buckhorn is just north of the dells. The have some huge tent sites and our site had a private beach right to the lake. Some of the tent sites you have to walk to, but they provide carts to make it easy to get to them. They also had spots for tow campers but all in all, it may have been the best camp site I ever went to.

Wisconsin Rapids has some nice spots. Real friendly people too always willing to give a drunk a ride home as well.

last year it cost me 38 for the weekend. its in the park, we took our bikes there and rode into town, both egg harbor and fish creek. check out their website there are probably about 4-6 different camp areas in the park and each has different stuff to offer. we took a tent, but there was everything from people sleeping in their trucks to giant 5th wheel trailers. i highly recommend it up there. we're going back 3 times this summer.
