I believe a general bedroom size should be 9x9 or 10x10.

lol, or whatever box Fedex droped off that day.

But seriously, i've been eyeing a house with the master a 13x13 and the other bed rooms 10x12, 9x11 I didnt think those were too bad?

Im spoiled in my current room, its bigger than most peoples apartments so its going to be a change :(

You can build a house out in Jefferson County for that price with many upgrades of your choice and have a brand new house. :)

Also taxes are much cheaper and no emissions either!

We've been looking at a lot of houses in that range and 13x13 give or take a couple feet is pretty typical for master BR size. The second and third bedroom are usually 1 or 2 feet smaller in either direction. This is for houses in the Waukesha area. Walk in closets are not very common.

My Master is 16'x12' with a Master bath and a 6'x8' walk in closet. The second bedroom is 12'x14' and the third is 11'x11'.

Depends greatly on what area you're looking at. 13 x 15 is probably an average size in that price range.

Anything smaller than 12x13 and two dressers and a queen bed is all you're going to fit in it. A lot of it comes down to layout though.

If you buy the house I want I'm going to hunt you down. haha. I've been tracking every house in Waukesha County (well, except for Butler and west of Highway 83 and way south like Mukwonago and Eagle) under $225,000 since November.

September is going to be the sweet spot as far as I can tell. Interest rates will still be decent and most people are going to be skeered that their house isn't going to sell since school starts at the end of August.

Just letting you know because my house fits that price range and will most likely be for sale soon. It also has a heated garage if that is of interest. And no I don't try and out do anyone.

Ok let me say, im not looking anywhere near 250k, hell i'd like 165k if anything! The one i found its very nice, needs to be finished completely inside (and i have my Uncle is perfect for the job) , Nice 2.5 car Garage and was built in 04' So the A/C and heating is new.

My parents are all for it(go figure) but my buddies thinks its a bad move being so young. But on the other hand, if i wait off for a few months and then go for it. I look at it like ill be getting a head start on paying off the loan, i wont have any extra money, so that way i wont spend it on something stupid! lol Idk its all an idea right now

a house built in 04 for under $200k is an extremely rare find, at least for Waukesha. Don't listen to your friends, if you can afford a house and don't plan on moving in the next 5-7 years it is a great investment. Obviously the market we're in a is a great time to buy too.

Where is it at? I hope it's not in Waukesha near Lombardi. I'd run like hell from there. It's all new in there but it's full of foreclosures, a crappy (noisy) location, and it's only going to be a downward spiral there for the next year.

I've been by, if not in, every house in Waukesha County (except way out in the sticks) under $180k. The time isn't quite right to buy unless you're getting it for less than 2007 Assessed value.

If you can come up with the coin to buy and you can get a decent rate (like the lowest advertised) then go for it. Especially if you have parents that can bail you out if you get desperate.

Its way out here by me. Im a lot farther south than you guys. Here in the Waterford/Burlington area.

I thought the same thing about a house built in 04'. Idk if you can even build one again for the same price! Im just very nervous about a LARGE amount of my monthly income going right to the house.

The good news is, my Cousin already said she'll move in with me. (no insest jokes either) And i know she would def pay ontime and we're both not home much so the house really wouldnt get dirty. And a buddy of mine is planning on moving in a year from now.

Nah, it's the one by Frame Park (between White Rock and Main).

The one by Waukesha Engine is pretty pricey.
