Where is the best place to have machine work done on a banshee motor? I don't know yet, but most likely just the upper end.

What EXACTLY do you need done, odds are I may be able to take care of it at work. I thought you sold the banshee?

I bought a super clean 2002 with a melted piston. So for sure the upper end will need to be addressed.

I am not sure what I want done yet. Maybe just go through the bottom end, and possible a race upper end.

What do you think?

Yeah, I guess. I already have one way over priced motor to worry about.:rolf

Maybe just a big bore rebuild, with a cool head.

http://www.trinityracing.com/ Just get a top end from them. they make their own cylinders which supposoudly people have been making close to 80hp on pump gas with stock bottom ends. When my top end finally goes out on mine thats what im looking at buying. You don't need a stroker, just get good cylinders/head and jack that compression.

Too bad we're so far away, there is a guy up here that has an incredible reputation, specializing in Banshee's.

How much do stock Banshee cylinders cost these days? When I used to race my Blaster I used to buy new cylinders as it was about the same amount for a new cylinder as a bore & hone-to-fit. I just honed myself. The only problem was the 6-8 hours of porting each time.
