Selling this for a friend!!
1994 taurus SHO for sale. 121,000 miles. The car runs very well but the
transmission needs repair. I have invested a fair amount of money in new/newer
parts and service. It has every possible option: full leather, moonroof,
cd/cassette, automatic climate control, dual power seats, pw, pl, power mirrors,
etc. The car is from the south so no rust! Tires are good, and front brakes are
new with pads and rotors. A/C blows warm. It is blue with gray leather.
New/Newer parts:
60k (about 28k ago)cam sensor, crank sensor, timing belt, tensioner, valve
adjustment etc.
water pump (jan 08)
front pads and rotors (2-3000 miles ago)
starter (sep 07)
rear pads (1 year ago)
The car is in pretty good shape except of course the transmission.

I had a 94 SHO. Fun except the little issues all the time sucked. I think I put in like 5 starters.

What trans does yours have?

What trans does yours have?

Hers and Adams have the 5 speed.

michelle

What trans does yours have?

Manual, 5-speed. In '93, SHOs were available with automatics and would then come with a 3.2L, versus the 3.0L that the manuals would have from '89-'95. SHO owners have now started making 3.2L with the 5-speed by using engine parts from both motors, which is what I hinted to Justin about.

dear god, the automatics in those are a pita to deal with, if you wish to replace the torque converter, GOOOD LUCK, your going to need it...

Yeah, I know I can find a manual trans easy but I don't have the $$$ right now to buy anything what would be needed for the swap. Which is why I'm pissed off that I missed out on a black `92 that was listed on CL, it would have been the *PERFECT* donor.....

Car Guy

If you want it rebuilt the right way with all the latest upgrades and a good external cooler you're looking at about $1500.....

Used original ones that 'work' can be found as cheap as $300 and all the way up to a $1000 for something that's rebuilt but slightly used.....

There is a re-built ATX for sale on the SHOforum that comes with the converter and both axles. It's in PA but might be worth the time/shipping because it was rebuilt the right way for reliability/performance/power.....:banana1:

Actually no, that subframe is long gone. The one we have yet is from a parts car down in the Delavan/Elkhorn area. Adam replaced a part in the guys car before he took it for that "Big Apple" rally or whatever it was and in return, we got the front end of the car - engine, subframe, front axles, front wheels, etc.

Oil in the plug wells at all? Just looked at a pretty white automatic SHO tonight. Was pretty happy about it (some minor rust), until I pulled out a plug wire and saw oil covering half of it. ):

I know a 60k was done, but just asking. Adam will need a winter car and we have snow tires on slicers.
