Have a rather nice gold Sapphire and diamond ring I'd like to get rid of. Was bought for a girlfriend a few years back and well, long story short... she never accepted it. Anyway, it's a beautiful ring... natural (not lab grown sapphire) flanked by two small diamonds. If anyone is looking for a gift or promise ring for a girlfriend (esp. if they have a September birthday) and they like Sapphires... here you go. I bought it at Goodman Jewelers on State Street in Madison, so if you ever want it cleaned or serviced... you can take it there. The ring is size 6, but can be resized. I think the Sapphire is 1/3ct to 1/2ct and the two diamonds are 1/8th ct. to 1/4ct. Band is 14 or 18ct gold. I think I paid about $487 for it so throw some offers my way if you'd like it.

Take it back to the store you brought it from. Trade the ring in for a ring for yourself:thumbsup

Yeah, I thought about that, but I don't wear jewelry (other than my watch and a wedding band). Someone PM'ed me about it but when I told them to make an offer, I never heard back from them. Oh, and just for anyone that is superstitious... the ring is not cursed or anything like that. It's not like I was proposing to that girlfriend or anything. Things were already on the outs and she did the responsible thing given the situation by not accepting it.
