Here is my 2007 700 GYTR Raptor....I wanted to post some pics of the mods progress I'm doing to it....I have a sheetload of parts that are going on it...

This picture is of it 100% stock...I already had ideas of how to mod it at that point...

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e93/DynoTom/000_0939.jpg

These pictures are it with ITP SS rims and Holeshot tires , Trailtech Vapor computer dashboard ( tach - temps - speedo , odometer , hour meter ect ), GYTR shock covers, GYTR front bumper and GYTR " blue paint drip " Raptor 700 graphics kit added....I will add pics as the mods go on...It will look and ride pretty different with the mods I'm doing to it....

DynoTom

Flick, the Trailtech computer and billet dashboard was just over $250.00 ...You could save money and just bolt it to the handlebars with the supplied parts but, I spent the extra $150 for the dashboard to give the computer some protection around it...

Trailtech vapor computer = $ 110.00

Billet handlebar clamp and Vapor dashboard = $ 150.00

It's a large 4 inch inlet with a K & N filter that replaces the stock very restrictive factory airbox and filter.....

I will post some pics of the Raptor with the new 4 inch all around lowering kit on it...I have to take the rear strut to work and have the bushings pressed into it before I can install it on the ATV....This thing will look much better with the 4 inch drop as the 700's sit too high from the factory..it will sit like a YFZ 450 when I'm done dropping it down...I want to see if GLD has any days I can take the Raptor out and run it down the track?

I do have a lot of performance mods going on..I'm doing a stage 3 build up on it...

I added a adjustable lowering kit to the Raptor 700 today.

I set the suspension height to the same as a new YFZ 450 sits....it worked out to be 4 inches drop in front and 3 1/4 inches drop in the back...

Here are some pics with the new drop height....The next mods going on will add some pretty nice HP to it ....:banana1:

Yep, I want to have a pretty powerfull N / A pump gas 93 octane ATV......I have a big bore kit with compression bump up , head porting and cam change coming....I spend a lot of time over at the Raptor forums seeing what works on the 700's....I almost went with the Raptor 700 Turbo kit from Alba Racing but, the intercooler would not fit my chassis with my piggyback shock set up.

I don't know if they allow those there?

I do know Bong has very tight and narrow trails though that might be hard for a RZR to drive on....

I will get the Trinity Racing 734 CC with there matching head port and cams for my Raptor....The airbox was 100 bux on ebay and seems the be a very nice product......

Yamaha Rhino 700 / Raptor 700
NEW! 734cc Big Bore Kit

Trinity Racing's NEW 734cc big bore kit will set your new Rhino / Raptor 700 light years apart from the crowd. Our NEW Cylinder is not a reworked stock cylinder it was specifically designed for this size bore, and that means even more reliability.

This Kit also features a custom JE Piston with improved oiling properties over the stock piston, this kit will last long and give you the power you crave. Add to this a Pro Ported Cylinder Head and Racing cam and you got one BAD 734cc Rhino / Raptor on your hands.

The 734cc kit includes a JE forged piston, and a top end gasket kit.

DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HERE IS WHAT DIRTWHEELS MAGAZINE HAD TO SAY.
Trinity Racing's modified 734cc Big Bore. First off, it's blindly fast. Power hook-up is awesome with a strong hard hit from the upper bottom end to a surging mid-range and potent top-end.

There is plenty of low-end to get the tires spinning, and when it hits the mid range rush it explodes off the line.

Top is phenominal with a strong over-rev that lets it build RPM steadily. This motor puts out and will increase your roost potential dramatically.

Yes, I have been up there the last two weekends. Its a very cool place with I think like 20 miles or something of trails, a motocross track, a supercross track, etc. Its only about 2.5-3 hours from the Milwaukee area depending on what side of town your on.

I am kinda burned out now, and need to fix one of my Banshees, but I would be down for going up there again in a few weeks if anyone wants to try to meet up there or something.

So is anyone hear good at working on this stuff? I obviously can turn a wrench but know very little about 2 stokes, etc. I'm looking for a little help with mine, either info or actual help! I have one Banshee that suddenly doesn't want to start and when it does it runs terrible, won't rev past maybe 4000 or something. It was running great, parked it for a bit, now it is crap. I'm leaning towards some sort of electrical/ignition problem but haven't even looked at it yet. Also, another Banshee I need to shorten the chain, I've run out of adjustment. Anyone have the tool and know how for that one?

P.S. Those are some ridiculous quads Tom!

Jim, my 2 stroke Blaster was doing the same thing as your Banshee....I too am just getting into working on ATV's so I just tore into it and found the air intake clamps loose and the reed valves were not set right.....I replaced the reeds with carbon fiber ones and of course clamped the air intake clamps tight and this Blaster has NEVER run as fast or started as good as now ! It will fire and idle on one kick now !

No TORS on either of my Banshees anymore. My hunch is it is electrical and maybe related to the stator I found several articles online about how they can get water in the stator or the stators just go bad, etc. They also supposedly aren't fond of deep water in general, and I had mine all but submerged last weekend quite often :thumbsup I haven't even looked at it yet but I bet something got wet and I have little or no spark.

My trailer should be able to haul the same. We should plan a big trip in a month or so.

Jesse and I are going to check out the Bunkhouse Retreat next Saturday.....I will give a full review once we get back...If you have the Banshee ready by next Saturday you should go with? We are leaving at 9:00 am and will be back around 8:00 pm the same day....

POWER COMMANDER III ------ I'm going to a PC III tuner set up with a laptop to tune my ATV....I wanted to be able to adjust my tune for PERFECT settings and the PC III will give me more tune adjustments...It will also configure better with the Dynatek ignition curve adjustments....I want to spin this 700 on a DYNO to see what she makes before it goes beyond the " big 3 " tuner, exhaust and airbox mods it has now...

UPDATE ; Conversion to ice drag set up and more to come soon...

I deleted the parking brake on the Raptor. Less drag on the brake rotor, one less cable going to the bars and weight savings with parking brake assembly removed..

I installed a 15 tooth Renthal front sprocket and TM design poly case saver . I also modified the factory chain cover to fit this set up...

15 tooth gives a TON more top end speed....

Custom programmed ignition curves from High Desert Dyno . I have different ignition curves for the different riding I do . I just flip some switches to gain the best curve ...I have one curve set up for the "ice drags" ....

The Raptor is getting LOTS of wiring done ! I wired in the heated grips , 2 step launch limiter , AutoMeter shift light and kill switch !

I also got a pair of BLINC BLUE TOOTH HELMETCOMMUNICATORS for Jess and I to use....They are SUPER neat and have 2 way radio funtion with 1/4 mile range, MP3 player and Bluetooth ...I wanted to have a 2 way radio to make it much easier to communicate , the MP3 and Bluetooth are nice features too...

doing all that to a raptor makes u one crazy man in my book.

I'm keeping it pretty simple though....In spring I want to take it out to the shop and install 11 to 1 pump gas piston , stage 3 cams and + 3 throttle body.....It's a VERY proven combo with those parts installed....I have no plans of any modding past that point.....Still want to get Jess into a F.I. 450 X or R YFZ though....Seen some pretty good deals on the 450 R's & X's out there but, unless we can get a decent amount his his 08 YFZ 450 it will have to wait....
