Back in the mid-to-late 90s I can remember playing Master of Orion 2 during some long nights at the data center as a night/weekend computer operator. A guy I graduated from high school with got an internship with Cray Supercomputer Corp. (basically because his dad was a VP or some other high level muckity-muck). They were playing Doom2 over the network and brought the whole company lan down at one point (in the middle of the day).
