here is some of the better ones...the location could have been better but eh oh well. i may try again this weekend. i dont even know what the settings are on half of these i changed it so much it was crazy. manual mode, f/5.6 all different exposure times fired with wireless remote.

I have a couple tips for you.

first off, get in a open area without trees, building and esp light in the way. its ruining your shots

I use a 17-55 lens on my XSi to shoot.

my settings are either bulb or 15sec or 30 seconds with a f8 for close shots or f16 for far shots. and always 100 iso

for the longer shutter speeds, paint a peice of cardboard black or just get something black. push the shutter button. when the shot goes off and you see the light trail of the firework remove the black cover from infront of the lens. keep it remove till the firework is exploded and disappeared, then cover the leans back up with the black cover till the shot is taken ( I hope that made sense, becuase you will get A LOT of good shots that way! ) you do this, so all the other fireworks dont taint the shot.

If there is some really great fireworks pictures you have, I am involved with a fireworks magazine and they are having a fireworks picture contest. If you are interested in submitting let me know.
