So obviously all the area towns are going to start having their fireworks for next weekend - are there any towns that put on a fantastic "don't want to miss it" show? Muskego had a good show last year. Obviously downtown is very good, but I figured I would ask and I can put them on my calendar to go.

I <3 fireworks. Although this year seems like I will have to take a bath in bug spray before I leave.

New Berlin usually puts on a good show. Gone there for the last few years. It's at the park by the police dept just west of Moorland on National. There's a fair and fireworks.

New Berlin is a good choice for around here. One of the best local shows for sure. Hales Corners isn't too bad either.

Town of Raymond, believe it or not, usually has one of the better shows around here.

Oak Creek has a very good fireworks display. Don't know about this year as they put a new building on the spot they launched from.

Oak Creek uses the same company that shoots the fireworks downtown. But obviously they dont spend as much $$$.

it is a VERY long drive for most, but the little town of New Holstein puts on one of the largest shows in the country. been going for many years. if anyone is up nort a bit the night of july 12th it is worth seeing.

Not legal. On the 4th they don't really care. They will get too many calls to even bother dealing with it. They just let it go as long as it's at a reasonable time. If you are lighting them off 11:30-Midnight and later expect a ticket for around $150

is it legal to even have them? so when the cops show up i can say "it wasnt me shooting them, but i have them' or do i need to hide them too? I think if my neighboor was shooting them off I can pull yea, no it was him

If you get caught they will either tell you to stop and leave you be or they will take the fireworks from you. The one time I got bothered in 15 years, I told them I bought them to take up north and I only wanted to try a few. They let me keep them and told me to light them all off up north and not to come home with any.

Raymond has an elaborate show. Pretty neat pyrotechnics, all the alcohol you could want and nice folks.

Being in downtown Racine naturally we just watch them here, maybe ride the train to navy pier this year.
