1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4
156,000 Miles
4.0 I-6
I am selling my daily driver. The jeep is in good condition for its age and has no real big problems. It has a small oil leak from the rear main seal and from the oil filter adapter on the block. There is a pinhole leak somewhere in the radiator that causes it to leak a VERY minor amount of coolant on the passenger side of the vehicle. I add about a quart of coolant every couple months. It has new brakes all the way around in the the last 10K miles and runs great. It has the bulletproof 4.0 I-6 that has a reputation for not dieing even if you want it to and if you have time to check out naxja.org you will see that these engines go over 300K miles all the time with no problems. It makes the same goofy sounds ever 4.0 makes but drives perfectly. I have put nearly 30K miles on this thing in the past 2 years and drive it 50 miles round trip to work every day of the year. The transmission is automatic and shifts perfectly, weather it is original or was replaced by the previous owner I do not know, but it was owned by a mechinic prior to me. The 4wd is in perfect working order and has the NP242 transfer case that has the option of part time and full time 4wd as well as your regular two wheel drive and part time low range. Tires have 10K miles on them and have probably another 40K left on them.
Price is $2500 to BCM members. This is below blue book. It needs to go.
Would possilby trade for a Decent ATV/Snowmobile.
