What is the baddest muscle car ever built? Could be stock, modified, old, new whatever....the car should be a trendsetter or an icon of some sort. Does the styling hold up today if it was built 10 years ago? 20 years ago etc?

A few of my favorite Mopar contributions:

71 Hemi Cuda - still one of the best styled musclecars ever, Hemi is easily argued as the most capable musclecar motor ever made, not to mention extra points for sweet options things like high impact colors, billboard and hockey stick stripes, shaker hoods, plastic bumpers, etc.

69-1/2 440 6 Pak Road Runner - 1/2 year only, Tripower, lift off fiberglass hood, etc.

69 Charger Daytona, 70 Road Runner Superbird - Winged cars, dominated NASCAR until basically banned.

68 Hurst Hemi Darts and Barracudas - Super Stock monsters. Still dominant.

70 Hemi Cuda in Sublime Lime with black billboards FTW.

Although the COPO 1st gen Maro's were pretty nice to:thumbsup

Screw Yenko's, it's a Subaru dealership now:rolf How about a Yenko WRX STI, would that be hot or WHAT?:goof

And maybe not the "fastest", but the AAR Cuda and the T/A Challenger with the 340 6 packs are fing sweet as well!!!

Another rant, why can't car companies today do what they did back then? The Hemi was rated at 425HP, most of them dynoed well over 500HP. But to keep the insurance companies happy, they rated them at 425, of course that was at 4000RPM:rolf. I think more companies should do that today to keep our insurance costs down! The new Z06 should be rated at like 325 (at 4000RPM):goof

Not sure how true, but I heard that the same 55 was used in both movies.

For me, (and this is strictly my opinion) when I think of the "most badass muscle car," it is my own 1979 Z28. The reason being, I think that late 70's Camaros had the most aggressive, strange-looking bodies, and a sort of "stage-presense" if anyone understands. Plus, a late 70's Camaro has ALWAYS been my to-die-for ultimate dream car, and I am still dazzled by the fact that I actually have one.
