no chrome on the 'balt... i'd go for an all gunmetal wheel, or even something black(as cliche' as black wheels are getting) but that's just me...

paint isn't cheap. Prolly about 140ish for color + clear, + ruining the chrome finish, and painting them, and labor, etc, plus new tires.

sounds cheap to me..

i don't really like them, but if you are driving around with the rims that are in your sig, anything would be an upgrade, LOL.

i don;t think that chrome or even gunmetal would look good with your orange paint on the car. just my opinion.

I believe others will disagree. As long as you're sharing how you feel, I'd like very much to share a few quotes, links and suggestions.

What is Dry Humour?

What is dry humour anyway? Is it humour minus the saliva?
Dry humour defined

“dry humour” or “dry humor” (as Americans spell it) is humour told in a “dry” way, without emotion (e.g. seriously). So you tell a joke like it’s not a joke, in a matter-of-fact kind of way.

It is an implied or indirect kind of humour.

Wordreference.com defines it as this:

humorously sarcastic or mocking; “dry humor”; “an ironic remark often conveys an intended meaning obliquely”; “an ironic novel”; “an ironical smile”; “with a wry Scottish wit”

These may give you even more clues to what dry humour is (or if you like, check out the comments at the bottom of the page. You’ll find many useful definitions, links, and other miscellaneous information from my readers):

* One type of British humor is often said to be “dry humor.” It is based on a hardly observable, or small deviation — a slight gesture. — From the essay How Can Humor Be Classified?
* Humorous or sarcastic in a shrewd, impersonal way. — From thefreedictionary.com/dry
* dry is really no more than a clever circumlocution or a punch line that doesn’t need to be said. — From article How Dry is Dry?
* Deadpan is a form of comedic delivery in which something humorous is said or done by a person, while not exhibiting a change in emotion or facial expression. — From Wikipedia definition of deadpan, which is what some people claim dry humour to be

Sarcasm is most often used in a humorous manner, but can also express annoyance or anger.[8] It is often used as proxy to other forms of expression. For example, instead of becoming angry and yelling at someone in a conflict, a person might choose to use sarcasm as an alternative.

Sarcasm may be used in many different circumstances, from ordinary conversation to the debate floor. Sarcasm is most often used to tear down others' arguments to humorous effect.

Laughter is an audible expression or appearance of merriment or happiness or an inward feeling of joy and pleasure (laughing on the inside). It may ensue (as a physiological reaction) from jokes, tickling and other stimuli. Inhaling nitrous oxide can also induce laughter; other drugs, such as cannabis, can also induce episodes of strong laughter. Strong laughter can sometimes bring an onset of tears or even moderate muscular pain. Laughter is a part of human behaviour regulated by the brain. It helps humans clarify their intentions in social interaction and provides an emotional context to conversations. Laughter is used as a signal for being part of a group — it signals acceptance and positive interactions with others. Laughter is sometimes seemingly contagious, and the laughter of one person can itself provoke laughter from others as a positive feedback[1]. This may account in part for the popularity of laugh tracks in situation comedy television shows.

Well despite what others think about the rims, if you like them roll with them. A great option is to have them powder coated. The powder coater can and will blast the wheels with the correct media to effectively remove the chrome and then polish out the imperfections followed by powder coating them the color and/or texture you want. You can duplicate the HRE style subtle wrinkle finish or use a "black chrome" finish. Go to Hy-Tek coatings and look at the different color options. Good luck.
