The 315/35/17 's are getting hard to find. Checking tire rack and found these and was blown away by the price. Yet at the same time, the price scared me. Anyone ever hear of these?? Sumitomo HTR Z.

Looking for some feedback.....

I've had these on 2 different sets of wheels and loved them. I have the Sumitomo HTR+ (I believe that's what it is) on my winter wheels as well and like them very much as well.

Yeah, they suck pretty bad... If your car has <400rwhp and <400rwtq they may work *OK*, but in general they spin like crazy... (most people that have 315s out back are pretty well built, thus my clarifying)

Nice and cheap to get a season of driving in, but pretty much worthless as a performance tire... Second year around they are even worse...

I will say, the HTR Z III version is damn good, but not available in a 315... I have those as 275s on my Camaro and love em...

The HTR Z II isn't bad either, but again in a restricted set of sizes...

im on my 2nd pair of the Sumitomo HTR Z's only had the rims for 2 1/2 years but i just bought my second pair and my car is a DD and im pretty heavy on the throttle...
they are in OK tire if you dont drive the car much and arn't to agressive they will be ok for $99 a piece you can't go wrong... they are pretty crappy in the rain tho.. and if you go to the track they dont hook for shit...

for me it seems no matter what brand or how expensive of a tire i get i go threw them in about 2-3 years.....

I can see the 400HP issue, but believe me, that is ot the case with my car. Did they wear poorly or what. I dont want to replace them in a year or two. Im not as much worried about ultra high performance driving, but more of mild to hard street driving. Mainly I am looking cheap. I just dont have the fundage to py $1000 for a set of tires, but I would like to put these rims sitting in my garage onto my car since if not, I need to replace a stock rim.
