Call of Duty 5? thoughts?

I cant believe yet ANOTHER WW2 based game is being made. Cant they just let that theme go for awhile? I saw the trailer and the intro of a flame thrower isnt enough for me. anyone have thoughts on this?

I always thought Tom Clancy should make Rainbow 7 a Vietnam game, and make the last act like Rambo, you know, come back to the states but instead of killing a bunch of bumpkin cops, go on a hippie killing rampage at a Grateful Dead show. The "boss" could be Jerry Garcia, his special power would be absorbing round after round because he's so fing huge and high:rolf And, of course, there will be plenty of "CHARLIES IN THE TREES!!!!"

I might buy that game, but I haven't really looked into the new call of duty game.

WWI & WWII is the only politicaly correct war anyone can totaly agree on. thats why. i agree many other war games should be made. In my opinion it doesnt even have to be Americans. hell it could be any one fighting and i would play it. maybe we would learn something about other countrys.

Then make it long, like weeks, to get to the end, and just when you think you're going to win one for Japan, you hear a plane overhead, and then BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM, screen goes white, and something like "HAHAHA! NOT! HISTORY IS A BIATCH!!!! XOXOXO-The United States, Greatest Country on the PLANET!!!!!" flashes across the screen. And then there's some like anime porn to make up for the bad joke:rolf

I downloaded and played the demo on PS3, its pretty cool. Probably not better than COD4 though.

COH is the shit. RTS never gets boring. every play is different. only problem is some people get wayy too good at these games.

There was a run of Vietnam games that came out... remember Battlefield:Vietnam? There were also a bunch of the lower-end Vietnam FPS' that were out around the same time. I'm sure they'll get to it again eventually.

I agree WWII is pretty played out, but it seems to be one of the only wars that you can depict without offending anyone. No one wants to do anything from Gulf War 1 or 2 because the left would have a field day with it and probably run the companies out of business. Plus as has been already said there were some pretty horrific atrocities committed by the Allied forces in WWII (or at least they certainly would be considered so by todays standards). Like what? Oh, like the firebombing of Dresden which killed somewhere between 25,000 and 40,000 civilians.

Remember the latest GRAW games are based in Mexico. That's a little different.
