Looking for a 400ex or Raptor for under $2000.

Have a few leads from craigslist, but on here I would feel better seeing as not everyone on craigslist is trust worthy or honest.

Thanks
Dave

Either a 350 or 660 are fine. I don't think I could find a 700 for under $2k

Thanks!

hey twirkin50 , just a idea for you...if you have a budget of 2 grand or under you could pick up a nice Yamaha Blaster for that???

Blasters are SUPER FUN and cheap....I have a modded Raptor 700 and I will say with complete honesty that the Blaster is by far a much more "pure fun" machine to ride....if you are looking for a fun ride I don't think you can beat a Blaster???

And, don't think the 200 CC Blaster engine is underpowered....BOSSLX is 250 lbs and rode my stock 2001 Blaster and he loved it ! The Blaster will destroy much larger CC 4 strokes in a drag race...My stock Blaster blew away the Warrior 350 with ease and even will kept up pretty good with my 700 Raptor until the top of 3 rd gear...

I now have a heavy modded 2000 240 CC Blaster that is REALLY fun....The Blaster is real underrated machine....They are really light..easy to slide around and pull wheelies like nothing !

It's your call of course but, those Blasters are great !

Is a 300EX too small for ya?

You are right, I had a blaster a few years back and it was a ton of fun. A few of the guys I ride with have DS650's and Suzuki 400's, so just trying to get something to hang with them on the trails.

A 300ex might not be too bad either.

Tom, how is the Warrior 350? Good suspension and power?

Tom, how is the Warrior 350? Good suspension and power?

For lots of trail riding I do think a 4 stroke is better..The fun we had with the Blasters was in a open farm field when it was pretty much wide open throttle the whole day !

The 4 strokes just respond faster in tighter riding areas and any larger 4 stroke machine you get will have a pretty nice ride quality....I did not care for the Warrior 350 the day we were flying around the farm fields but, on the trails I suppose it would be Ok???

It all depends on what kind of places you have to ride as far as how good your machine can " fit in "?

At Bong State Park the trails are so tight and bumpy with very short straight- a- ways that even my modded 700 R Raptor is really not a advantage over much less powerfull ATV's...

I do know being out with a buncha guys on ATV's is really fun but, being stuck on a ATV that is really underpowered in the group can make for a long day....

When we went riding in the farm fields that day , it was BossLX my other nephew Jesse and I...We had a 2001 Blaster that was stock , a 2001 Warrior 350 that was stock and my 2007 Raptor 700 that at that time was stock. We all traded off with riding all the different machines that day and the Blaster and the Raptor totally dominated the Warrior 350 it was so bad that whoever was riding the 350 Warrior became a "distant spectator" to the other machines having fun....The Raptor and the Blaster would cross the field in no time leaving the Warrior almost out of visual sight!

I have a 1999 300EX thats passively for sale.

Its red and black, rebuilt motor (400ex carb with Dynojet kit, Stage 1 Hotcam, 11 to 1 forged .040 Wiseco, complete valve job on head after mild porting), header with factory stainless 450r muffler, nice rims and tires, new chain/sprockets, nerfs, peg extensions etc. etc. I was asking $2,000.00 for it with a bunch of extra rims/tires/parts, but I'd be willing to lower the price if I can keep some of the extras. I have a busy weekend coming up, but I could at least get you some pictures if you'd like.

Yeah, send or post some pics.

Thanks!

Thanks Tom, I will pass on the warriors.....I don't want to be the guy on the trails everyone is waiting for. I drive pretty agressive, but those DS650's are monsters to keep up with.
