Well, got a date set---for marriage

Yep...I guess it's considered "official-official" now...My fiancee and I have set a date.

Meg and I got engaged on Christmas day last year...but left the date open-ended due to some health concerns on Meg's part (she was in active treatment then). Flew out to AZ to see her for only 4 hours on Christmas day (that's all they'd allow for visitation) to make the proposal. Gave her a 27 dollar ring :goof (treatment and ancillary cost were looking pretty prohibitive...so we agreed. Biggest cubit zirconium ring I could afford, lol...which was pretty big. Tired of telling everyone that it's not real too :durr)

While down in TX, we did some hard thinking about when would be best for the type of wedding we want, and came to the conclusion that we'll be getting hitched on Oct. 18th of this year.

We're picking up a new puppy in july, so we guess it'd probably be best if he wasn't a bastard and all too long.

The wedding itself will actually be COMPLETELY open, since we are holding a brief (10-15min) ceremony at the park we met at. Diner will be a small afair (we're still poor after her treatment :durr ), but the reception will be limited only by the place's capacity (we don't know it yet) and will be somewhat open. Wedding will be in Mequon, WI.

However, My bachelor party will be undoubtedly a wide open affair...details to be posted! Be ready!

Seriously, we went on our first date not knowing each other's age. I had assumed that she was around 25-26 (when I was still 32). Understand, when I met her, she wasn't yet emaciated, but was losing considerable weight, which actually made her look older. I was a bit lighter at the time, which kept me looking younger, so she assumed I was about 27-28. Anyways, she mentioned an upcoming birthday....Me: "Oh, so how old will you be?" Her:" I'll be 22" Me: "Wait...wut?". She actually had already found out my age from a friend of ours...she didn't care. Lucky me.

Here we are not long after we started dating...she was about 30lbs lighter than she is now (currently about ~138):
