Question on the heads are the valves any larger than the ones on my stock cast iron L98 heads and how many miles on them?

I don't believe there are any valve differences, but I think they flow better than the iron heads. Plus there is a huge difference in weight. I was told the motor had 30 some thousand miles. It was taken out of a wrecked Vette.

Yup time to enlist it in boat anchor duty!!! The world will be a better place. LOL So when you get your new Fountain power boat John you can use this as the anchor;)

The block and heads would be nice upgrades for my LS :D. Too bad funds are short rihgt now :(....those heads are very nicely priced.

Not so fast as using it as an anchor...take my 305 and give me the L98 instead ;).

Hey John, did you still have that monster tach. off the Turbo Regal? If you do and its for sale, let me know how much....I may find a use for it ;) .

I'm actually looking for something along the lines of cheap(not that thats expensive)....tach will actually be going into my winter beater :D. So there is definately a budget there.

I heard Wal-Mart carries a cheapie tach even, which I might consider. I just forgot what John was asking for his, if it is still for sale even.

I'm looking to spend no more than $30, probably less....like the cheapies they sell at Autozone or whatnot...ebay has a few that are less than $20. I wouldn't expect you to sell yours for that cheap....the car was $250, so a $50 or more add on part won't happen :D .

Paul, you can have mine for $30.

Hey John, I'll probably pass on it for now, as other *needs* for parts have come up that are a bit more important, but if I get that urge to splurge and put a monster tach in the beater ;), I'll let you know. Thanks.
