Anyone else sitting at home because of the glass guys being on strike. I sat at work this morning for an hour and a half at our trailer and then we decided just to leave and try again tomorrow.

Yah, we had em over at Bucyrus today. I had to tell them that if they blocked the trucks coming in that we'll call the police for disrupting business/ loitering.

Didn't have any problems though.

Korndogg

yeah i knew they were over there too. they are all over the place. Cops arent going to do anything to them unless they actually do something wrong though. Theres nothing they can really do because its an organized protest which isn't illegal.

Actually if there blocking the right of way of a business that has nothing to do with the strike as in loss of wages. Only then legal action can be sought.

But I'm not here to argue.

Yeah, I pulled up to the hospital in Oconomowoc today wondering why there were like 50 cars parked along the street. I initially thought the jobsite parking lot was under water or something. Then I pull up to the gate and see the guys on strike.
I ended up working today, along with some others. A few left early though.

I work from the job trailer now, but I dont think anyone was working in the building. The site was pretty much shut down.

They were striking against wages... not against a non-union company (like you typically see), so crossing the picket line is a bit different I think.

I initially thought it was the plumbers because they're getting screwed on their benefits this time.

wow......the guys from lurie looked like they were ready to kill someone! they are getting dicked hardcore on their contract by the way, they have some sub-contractor agreement that they want to keep, the union does not want them to have it, so the deal was that they'd get 2.25 for 5 years and lose the subcontractor, OR keep the subcontractor and get NO RAISE FOR 5 YEARS.........

i don't plan on working for at least a couple more days now!
