Am I the only one thinking " where the hell are all the fish " figured they'd be piled up everywhere ? Unless it was never a fishing lake just a fun lake.

the fish go with the water. the fish that were in that lake, are now in the river or wherever the water went. fish wont stay in an area where water is draining... good example, if you have a fish tank, dig a hole in the sand in one area...and start draining it, the fish will to to the area where the hole is. as there is "more" water there.. my $0.02

Lake Delton averages about 10 feet in most places.
Still, those are some crazy pics.

Ah yes muck bottomed lakes, love those.

I would not want to walk around out there, I bet it stinks and the idiot who took that bobcat out into that muck had no clue about the machine or the material.

not sure why people assume there would be fish and fishing poles and junk laying on the lake bed..that junk got washed away when the lake drained, it was no different than flushing a big toilet

So how long did it take for the lake to kind of drain away? Are we talking a couple hours or over a day or so?

I was just in awe when I saw those Iowa pic's. Lake Delton drained almost completely in 2 hours. We drove up toe the Dells tonite and dropped of a generator for my friends dad,he owns a restaurant out east of the Dells on hwy 23 called the Cove. hwy 33 is closed in several spots or detoured on the way up, hwy 39 is closed as is 33 in and around Portage, I wish i had a camera for all the flooding there was some homes looked like islands in the water, shit even allenton was flooded over on 33 downtown.
