not looking aftermarket, just wondering if you can still get that stuff through a ford dealer or if it's a long block you have to get. what are they normally going for if anyone has been looking

i'm too lazy... and i wanted used or a unused take out or something. I remember a post on modularfords.com where the guys were picking up shortblocks for like $1500 brand new. one right after another when they were blowing them up, ahaha

I know where you can get a complete takeout engine assembly with transmission and wiring, but its not gonna be cheap.... :stare

What the hell were they doing to blow them up, they are pretty stout, there's lots of 600HP Termy's out there running around on the stock block.

sure there are... but i never said these were 600hp cars did I? :) hahaha

some people i guess think it's fun to toss twin 66's on a stock block at 30psi and have at it

thanks coop. that seems about right for the whole kit and caboodle. hard part is finding JUST what the person needs for right now.

Chris,
That shortblock should be good for at least 800 without touching anything. Try MPS in GA. They are a Mustang salvage yard. Or call Louie at Lauriel Mountain Mustang. I bet he could hook ya up.
