rim widening places

This is one of the better ones and charges about 250 per wheel. Do a search on him to see his work. When I find 2 more WS6 rims like mine, he'll be the one widening them to 11". :thumbsup

Thanks John, you wouldn't know how wide a rim has to be to fit a 275 tire do you?

Your right on the mark, the WS6 & SS wheels are 17x9 and run a 275/40/17. My front ZR1's are 17x9.5 and also have same size just fine.

17x8's - 275s out back -- It's pushing it, and in my case, the tires tend to run a bit narrow. It's doable, lots of people do it, but of course wider is always better.

check tire rack for tire width but I am almost positive an 8" wide rim is too narrow.

Ya I also have put 275's on a 17x8, they will bulge over a little bit, but I think it looks good.

my mud truck runs a 44-15/16.5 on a 16.5x12 rim. i have seen them on 44-15in wide on 14.5 in rims before
