Thousands of sites were down, including one of mine. A place called "The Planet" had a transformer fire over the weekend causing headaches all over the place; here is the thread from them giving updates on the fix; http://forums.theplanet.com/index.php?showtopic=90185&st=20

From working with our data center downtown I know how much shit happens sometimes. A guy tripping over a cord can bring a place to it's knees but an explosion that takes out three walls is damn sure to break alot of things. I wouldn't be too hard on them as it does not sound like human error caused it.

I had people trying to get in and proof pictures all weekend, they were of course pleased (sarcasm) that they paid for services but could not get in to see their photos but eventually understood that it was completely out of alot of people's hands.

yea i noticed most v-bulletin sites were down. 1 was down sat - sun morn and 2 including this one stayed down till i came on now.. withdrawls yea...
