The build has started..

I've started to collect the parts needed to make a go fast car.. I got the rods in yesterday.. I plan on ordering the pistons in the next week (after payday).. Then will come all the gaskets..

Sooo, by the time the build comes I will have all the parts paid off and will only have to swallow the labor.. The car only has 14k miles but I guess it's better to do it now before I snap a rod and put it through my block..

Coop, you're SOOOOO in trouble w/ the 4V gets the guts it needs..

I don't think so.. But won't rule anything out..

This is going to be a budget build.. The wife & kids drain most of my finances so this is being done w/ spare money after everything has been paid each month..

I'm really only shooting for 500 @ the wheels.. So was thinking about just building the bottom end, tossing on a smaller pulley and making more boost.. I know a ported intake & heads will help but money talks on this build..

Why, you do it on the side?I've only played around with a couple set of mopar heads...I wouldn't trust myself with the harder to find 4v mod heads :goof

I only trust myself with heads that are more than a dime a dozen in the scrap yards :rolf

Some people but not me.. I really don't care if my wifes mini-van is faster than my car.. Well, maybe I do care about that..

I just throw Coops name out there because I know 1) He's sunk a ton of money into that beast and 2) He's the mounth of Milwaukee..

I'm only building my motor for one thing, so a rod doesn't pop out the side of the block.. I really don't need/want any more HP but if I'm gonna spend the money then I might as well spend another $50 and get a smaller pulley..
