How is the spark advance controlled on the TBI (yes, throttle BODY injected) engines, particularly on the 95 pick-ups? Is it possible to advance via the typical method (IE, rotating the distributer)? And if it features a vacuum advance mechanism, is that adjustable as well?

The answer is yes. You can even put a coil-in-cap distributor there you just have to swap over the ICM in order to allow the ECM to retard timing based on knock.

i have a 91 camaro with 305 tbi which may or may not be the same. to adj the base timing on that car there is a brown wire on the pass side that needs to be disconnected then the distributer can be rotated.`
